The Purple Door Loves...

Summer is in full swing and here at home things have been really exciting. Lots of entertaining, events and cooking demonstrations. As busy as I am, I try to find time to do one of my absoulute favourite things... flipping through home decor mags with a glass of wine at the end of the day. With a new role as Grandmother and Crawley's new Mayoress, it can be difficult to find the time. Life is all about balance, it is important to make time for the things we love and enjoy. This week, I thought it would be fun to show you a few things I'm lusting over. Enjoy and remember to make your life beautiful everyday. Summer is finally here! As I sit at my desk, I can't help but feel a bit nostalgic about this recipe. Very unfairly the cuisine of Portugal doesn't get the recognition it deserves. If it weren't for the Portuguese bringing back spices and delights from the New World, where would some of the world's greatest cuisines be today? The "malegeta", Portuguese for the fiery African Bird's eye chilli, is a great example. Many Portuguese ex-colonies share a love of chillies. Mozambique, Angola, Goa, Timor, Cape Verde to name a few.
