The Story

I believe you must bring your whole self to the table if you want to thrive in today’s crazy world; your personality, your sense of humour, and most importantly, your heart. All of these elements brought me to start blogging. Ever since I launched this project, the blog has been thriving and has quickly gained a loyal following.

What is it that fuels you? For me, it’s my creative outlet. I love writing about my passions, what interest me, what interests others and sharing all of my thoughts with my readers. I am a self-taught chef and artist.

Thanks to firefighters! Every day Firefighters put their lives on the line to save people. Many of these Firefighters are volunteers, so let’s pay them back by showing our appreciation, thanking them for the valuable service they provide, and letting them know that we are very aware of the significant positive impact they have on our community. Firefighters, whether paid or not, make an incredible difference in our lives—so let’s make a difference in theirs and say thank you! Black Tie Portuguese Affair want to say thank you in advance for any donations. We also want to remind you that your unwanted clothing and textiles will also help raise money for The Firefighter's Charity. The big yellow collection boxes are located at :

Hi, I'm Catia, but you can call me Kat. I am a Portuguese girl raised in America and currently living in West Sussex, England. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Wildwood Restaurant Crawley, for making our annual fundraising event a success. The team is always friendly, professional and efficient, making for a seamless dinner service and most importantly, happy guests. This is the second time we have chosen this restaurant to host our events and we are never disappointed. Thanks to all of you we raised over ￡600!
