Summer is just around the corner and I thought I would share with you some of fabulous items I am lusting after right now.
This year in fashion you can expect to see the python trend going strong. I personally do not consider animal prints a trend. To me they are timeless classics. Neon, on the other hand, is a really difficult trend to pull off in the real world. Ease it into your wardrobe by mixing with khaki or pastel colours. If you are feeling even less adventurous, try some neon earrings or even a small handbag.
For the home, bamboo seems to be dominating the scene. Everything from picture frames to furniture. Think Florida chic...YES, Please!
Florals will be everywhere this year. Tropical flowers seem to be the go to print of choice. I am in love with this River Island one piece swimsuit. With it's high cut leg, this suit super flattering...legs for miles. It also has a brazilian cut bottom, no granny pants here, LOL. It is fabulous. Always buy your lingerie and swimwear 1 to 2 sizes up. This avoids soft plump skin from creeping out of the cutouts, muffin tops, double boobage and a host of other wardrobe malfunctions. Trust me now, thank me later.
Rattan bags are all the rage, from High Street to catwalk.
Can you ever go wrong with straw anything in summer? I think not. They are not just for the beach bound. Have you seen the red heart shaped Dolce and Gabbana one below ? Swoon worthy right?
Statement jewlery continues to rule the catwalks, bejewled headbands and barrettes were spotted on everyone who's anyone this season. They are not just for kids, if that's what your thinking. Worn during the day, it may be difficult to pull off, but in the evening, the sexiness is definitely intensified. HOT! Think less is more...do not put them all on in one go.
Make-up trends are matching the interior trend this season. Think femine... pink, blush, mauve. Super flattering on all skin tones. Bonus...pink really makes you look fresh faced and youthful. What more could you ask of your make-up?
Red...red is just sexy. I have always loved a dark red in lingerie and accessories. You should also know me well enough to know that Dior's red is my signature lip. What is new then? I had no outerwear in red...gasp! I know! The love affair begun after coming across a fabulous red coat a few weeks ago. I am hooked.
Who knew it would flatter me so. I always thought of red as too alarming...we will just have to see what Fall/Winter 2019 brings to the table.
